I know many of you have told me in the past that you love looking at old postcards and some of you even collect them. I too collect postcards and am lucky to have quite a range of them.
This Christmas postcard isn't dated on the back but judging by the collection it came from it was probably produced between 1905 and 1910. That's about as close as I can get I'm afraid. This postcard is a hand-painted real photograph postcard and was produced by the Rotary Photo company in London.
The message on the back is simple. 'To Ivy wishing you a merry Xmas from Ada and Esme'. The handwriting and the way the message was written suggest the senders were children.
These old postcards have more appeal for me than the modern variety card.

I have quite a collection of old postcards and still send out postcards through Postcrossing. This one is a gem!

@valmnz Ahhh! Cool! I'm starting up again. I've been postcrossing for only 3 years. I love it!

Yes, and I strongly agree that old postcards are more attractive
