Every Successful Writer gets paid to read.

I'm not defining success as being published. Success is what you make it. You could write every evening after work. You could be a columnist who spends their spare time writing for pleasure. Whatever you are, you are being paid to read. Perhaps it's not yet royalties from a successful book. One day it will be. I don't know but this just popped into my head. I was thinking to myself earlier "I would love to get paid to read." I happened to think to myself that it was a matter of perception. I do things online, I'm filling out applications for better employment. I read every chance I get, and I've been writing every day. What say you?
