Sorry, your response does not deserve a comment

You either have not understood the discussion or just plain lazy to read through and think of a response that deserves a comment. I know you have often said you are not here for money Then what are you here for? I suppose you know if you do not get comments you do not earn here. Have a nice day.

It is a general discussion. You can wear the cap if it suits you. Anyway nowhere have I seen you saying you are not here for earnings.

Some surely will recognize themselves in this category. I read the discussions, the money is not everything, but I love so much the little money that I earn here, it's all mine to spend as I like.

Getting money is an incentive and that is what keeps this site ticking

@allknowing This is also my opinion, you always need a little incentive to do things during your life.

Some responses are hard to comment on because they are very short, but I usually try anyway. Some people find it hard to write a long response in English because English isn't their first language. Of course it also happens sometimes that people simply decide to leave a response with reading the discussion, and that is different from people who struggle to read/write English.

Writing without reading or just being lazy involves many and not just those who are not good in English

@Porcospino I prefer longer posts because it gives me more to comment on. However a short post like this can be good when it's short and sweet and gets right to the point!

@allknowing I have experienced both things - members who didn't understand a post and members who didn't read it. I once included a word with more than one meaning in the title, and it was pretty easy to tell the difference between the people who read the discussion and the people who responded based on the title

Many people here don't even read the discussions.. so I guess a lot of people may wonder if its them.

All that matters is they realise it and do what is expected of them.

Whoa! I hope whoever you’re talking about reads this! I love the money I earn here. Half goes to charity and the rest into my special savings account.

It is a genuine observation and I would very much like all here to read discussions and post responses that are worth reading and commenting on

@allknowing There is always one in a group that doesn't read all the way through a discussion before responding and will write some thing that doesn't relate at all to the conversation.

I will reply a 'thank you note' in that case. I am here for money. It does not matter whether I reach payout or not but whatever I earn I accumulate here then get a payout after six months.

@allknowing The purpose of the thank you note is to close the discussion.

One man's meat... A comment might seem uninteresting to one person but another might have a laugh and comment back just the same.

@allknowing Oh yes. I would probably ask a question like 'what was so good about it?' and that often gets a reaction.

Sure. But just saying for example 'nice post' will that generate a laugh or good meat?

@mysdianait Worse when there is a nice response and no comments are made. I should have included that as well. There are so many users who pick and choose whose responses to comment on.

@story07 That's why I'm here too. One other plus is that it's something quiet for me to do while Bill is sleeping in. He doesn't sleep well through the night so i allow him to sleep in in the morning and I do quiet work in the early morning so he can get his rest. if I were in it for the money I'd have to be three or more people, I made my first payout the first part of last month. I won't make my next payout until next month or later. I'm going to just let the payouts build up and somewhere along the line buy myself something nice from Ebay. Well, off to get dressed. I have four teddy bears to finished for a special order and take them into the shop tomorrow to deliver them to the person's mother. I have fabric left over from both items so I'll make a couple more teddy bears. I should be able to get a miniature out of the Navy jacket and a regular sized bear out of the vintage quilt. The woman is being a sweetheart about my not being able to deliver the Navy bears until tomorrow- she wanted them for Christmas. They were supposed to be for gifts for Christmas but between the illness and other problems I ran out of time on the bears. So here's hoping that the Navy bears turn out good.

Sometimes we write good responses but the comments we get to them are not good or don't exist at all. I think everyone here is in some way here because of the money. Wonder how many would remain if money was no longer an option...

@lovebuglena The second or third comment could probably be just a smilie but the first one atleast should connect with the discussion.

@allknowing We are all guilty of doing this ... but there are plenty of comments that are generic, only a few words long, or just an emoji or two. It does sort of keep the conversation going but it becomes meaningless.

It is not so much to hit anyone but just to bring it to their notice. If a response does not call for a comment how will they earn?

In my opinion there are people who are not native English speakers and they might lack of vocabulary to express themselves. It has happened to me a few times, when there's a post and I would love to share my insight, but then I don't know what to comment cause my mind gets stuck in that very moment. I guess that's what happens to some people who might seem to be lazy when commenting, however I might be wrong and they're indeed lazy. :(

This is about those who just do not read discussions or they are lazy and many who belong to this category may not necessarily be those whose English is not good

My posts are long so I don't expect others to read them. But I do hope that when I read and comment on other people's posts that they respond eventually. Sometimes we do miss some but some people are selective and only comment back on a few of their comments. That bothers me. Some post so many they can't keep up with all there comments and that tells me they should cut back on their posting and concentrate on replying to their comments.
