An Accidental Smartphone Screenshot

Yesterday was really busy. We had a doctor appointment in San Luis Obispo followed by our usual shopping stop at Costco while we were in the city. All week I've been making my shopping list on the fridge door tablet. I normally just rip it off when I'm ready to go. Costco is thirty miles away and we usually only go when we have to have something we are out of or we have another reason to be in town. When we arrived at the doctor's office, I realized I hadn't brought my shopping list. So I decided to make a note on my phone surface with my Note 9 pen. That's one way to use it. So I pulled out the pen, made my list from memory, saved, and that was that. I thought it looked a bit strange, since my last note was on a white surface. When I got to Costco, I tried to find the list. I looked at my saved notes and it wasn't there. So I still had to try to remember what had been on my list when I started shopping. (I checked the original list on the fridge today and see that I had forgotten nothing that was on it.) So a few minutes ago I decided I'd better get started on a blog post for ReviewThis! that I have to upload at midnight. (It's about the new sleep mask I just bought.) I took a comparison photo with my phone of the contours of the old mask that just wore out and the new one. Now that I'm ready to edit it for the blog post, I went to Amazon Photos to download the photo into PicMonkey, and guess what I found! Yup! My shopping list. It got saved as a screen shot, not a note. I should have gone to my pen settings and tapped on "note" to make a note to save in notes. But I think I learned how to make a screenshot. Maybe. Don't know if I can repeat that. Have you ever learned something accidentally? Have you learned anything new lately about a device you use all the time?
