My mom has a hard time getting rid of the smallest things. She even has receipts from things she bought over 16 years ago.

Your mom sounds like my mom. I admit I have too much stuff too. But I am trying to be better and get rid of stuff.

Well, I can understand keeping recent receipts, but ones from years and years ago? Thanks for responding.

I am not a pack rat and I cannot stand clutter. My husband on the other hand is a pack rat. I go through the house while he is at work and throw a bunch of stuff away and don't tell him. The funny thing is he never notices that it is gone.

Hahaha...I'm sure if I were to do that, my mother would never notice either. It's good he has you to keep him from burying himself in stuff. Thanks for responding.

A lot of people are packrats. My son and his wife are like that. She saves almost every jar that comes into the house. She has piles of stuff in the basement. Things her kid had out grown. She just can't get rid of it. Now My son He drags stuff home he's going to use some day. His pockets always have some thing in them. He has boards and shelves he brings home from the grocery stores that he has worked at. Our yard looks worse than an auto salvage yard.

Well, I hope they don't save toilets like in the picture lol. Some people just can't let go of things they might "need" in the future. Sooner or later it's going to catch up to them.

I am definantely a pack rat. I don't like to throw things away because I think I may need that or I could use that someday. I keep receipts for a while. They are only good for so long anyway. I eventually get around to tossing them out.

Do you actually use half the things you keep because you may need them? I'm gonna guess no lol. Thanks for replying.
