Sports - a watcher or a doer?

Lots of people are into watching sports but not everyone is into actually doing a sport. Then again, I suppose it depends on your definition of 'Sport'. Medical experts tell us that 30 minutes a day of exercise which makes us breathe hard is good for us. I used to be very active in the great outdoors and a walk in the woods would give me as much exercise as I would get playing football for 90 minutes which is just as well because I'm not the slightest bit interested in any sport which involves any kind of ball, be it football, golf or table tennis. So what about you? Do you do it or do you just watch it on TV?

I really need to do more walking. The trouble is I'm just not motivated to get out of the house

I hardly watch sports these days and most of my activity comes from manual labor at work. I hope to return to the gym to give powerlifting a try.

I am more of a doer than a watcher. In my younger days, we used to play baseball or football everyday after school. Now, I'm more into hiking and cycling.

@JohnRoberts Me too. Failing health precludes me from being as active as I used to be

I am definitely a watcher, and sometimes too much of one But yeah, I was quite in to sports all throughout my younger days, all the way in to my late teens, even to some extent in to my early 20's. Now, I am 28 and I don't do any sports, but I would love to get back in to something

I'm a watcher and I don't even like walking much. I really need to do more though.

@ThreeTeddies I used to watch sports on TV. I do exercise at home about 3 times a day and during nice weather I would walk more.

I don't watch them unless it's winter sports.

I love to watch ice skaters. And I love to walk.
