What to you do to relieve heartburn?

I will usually take a pill and it works great but I don't have any with me today so I have been drinking water trying to get rid of it. It easier up for awhile but it's back again. I changed to a different coffee so I am thinking it could be what's causing it or if may be the new medication that I am on. Either way I have to get rid of it.

My mother used baking soda. I sip a glass of hot water. Sometimes it seems to help.

I always have heartburn every time I have my treatment and to be honest, it gives me discomfort along the treatment. What I did is, never eat a lot before the treatment.

I heard the cold brewed coffee has less acidity to it - but we haven't tried it out yet. Hubby had big time heartburn daily - but then he started drinking water with just a splash of organic apple cider vinegar. It literally stopped his heartburn, that is, if he remembered to drink it first thing in the morning. You would think with vinegar it would make it worse, but I guess there are articles out there about how that works. In any case, he swears by it!

I take a pill (Zantac) for it daily. I also will take a couple of Gaviscon chewable antacids before I go to a Mexican restaurant. (I know, stay out of the Mexican restaurant and my heartburn will go down.) I'm trying to lose weight, which will also help.

You don't think it could be heart related? With your history of heart surgery, don't assume anything.
