Have you ever had to deal with somebody who was an alcoholic? It is a terrible disease and it rips families apart. It is a terrible disease. I try to understand it but it is so hard not too. I hate the disease.

Yeah I have a family member who is alive, as well as, my grandpa who passed away about 5 or so years ago, was one too. Yes, it definitely is a hard thing to deal with

My dad and my mom.It is very hard especially when they make poor decisions and refuse to see the error in their ways. Are you dealing with someone like this?

I have a friend who is one but lately I've noticed he had slowed down. There was even one time that I sounded so rude when I called him and said" Hi? are you okay, can we talk for a while if you are not drunk. The disease cannot be cured immediately.

I hate addictions. Yes we too have our share of heartache regarding addiction. So sad to see family going through this. Refusing to get help.

Thankfully, I have not. Though, my grandfather did drink daily, and years ago someone told me that he was one.. i dont believe he was though. Never seemed it anyways. Just seemed like he needed it to relax after work.
