The Dude is Groomed

Today has brought tons of sunshine finally. A good day to get the Dude out in the screen room for a brush. He loves it. My other cat, Brendel, doesn't care for it. I have to chase her down to brush her. The Dude's hair is so thick, it needs brushing more often than hers.
He is posing for his after brush photo. See how shiny his coat is now? He says enough now, time for another afternoon nap.
Do you brush your animals? I guess the question should be, do you have animals?
Enjoy your Sunday. I hope the weather is beautiful in your world.

We have a dog and a cat. I can brush my cat, but our dog had gone wild; he does not want to be groomed!

look at that handsome boy.
No animals, but we've talked about this. I bet it feels good to him, being brushed like that. I know I wouldn't mind someone brushing my hair for me.

@CarolDM Oh of course he does. I've never met a black cat that hasn't looked smug whenever you say "what a handsome boy you are"

@CarolDM I had to bathe one years back that I thought would tear me up. Our fuel tank had fell over and she got covered in it. I didnt want her licking that off. But she sat quietly in the sink while I shampooed and rinsed her several times to get it all out. She was able to figure out that I was helping thankfully.

@wolfgirl569 Oh wow. Both of mine are declawed on the front, they were like this when I rescued them. This is why they are indoor cats.

Yes, we always have brushed our animals. However, Doodles brushes his own cheeks when the brush is held in front of him. The rest of his body must be done when he stops to sniff something.
Dude looks extremely handsome and seems to be twinkling in the sunlight.

Looking very nice after his hair brushing :) And we don't, but we spend time with my mom's dog, Fifi almost daily!

My pet is short haired..It is hard to say how he would react to being brushed..as he seems to object to alot of things. I guess I would have to try it and find out.

I rarely brush the dogs, they don't like it. I do take them to the groomer.
