Can’t Have Nice Things

My husband and I just returned from a nice bicycle ride together and both received the same text from our son. We almost choked with laughter while sipping our water.
Our son received delivery of a new dining room table this week, along with a set of 18th century chairs he had ordered, which he set on his new area rug. All for his new house.
He heard a rustling sound in his dining room. When he checked, he found Doodles the cat on top of his dining room table going haywire with and attacking the new tablecloth.
Our son said that he can’t have nice things in his house, tongue in cheek of course.
Hubs and I are still doubled over laughing. Oh, that Doodles is something else!

At least he was on the tablecloth and not scratching up his new table. I'm glad you all got a good laugh over Doodles antics.
I just noticed that you are nearing the 100,000 group with interactions. I also noticed that I'm nearing 20,000. I'm guessing you will make it there before me, and I don't intend to race you either. I still have lots I should be doing here at my computer screen and really need to get things organized.

@DianneN lol, I'm only competitive at playing peanuts/duckies, or dutch bliss, which is the same basic game depending on what part of the country you are from.

@MarshaMusselman I never heard of that. Is it a card game?

Yes, I am the one who is very worried about those extra long claws scratching up the new table. I'm hoping Doodles is finished with his attack for good.
Oooo! I never looked at my interactions, but thanks for telling me. I had no idea! No need to race. I'm only competitive in sports.

it seems like Doodles does not like anything new in his house.

@DianneN maybe he thinks it divides your son's attention between him and the tablecloth?

Pebbles doesn't mess with anything...except for mice he finds.

@DianneN Yes Pebbles just likes toys. And he's so good with the little ones too! That's him in the photo. =)

@LovingMyBabies Doodles is an alpha male. He used to mess with poor Kuma, his sister, too. He even attacks stone statues of cats.
Pebbles is a very good kitty!

Doodles has been much more playful, lately. Just as long as he feels better, we don't care what he attacks. Well, we do not want scratches on that new burled wood and inlaid table of course! Bubi is a kitty and will probably attack your husband's shoes millions of times. Best to keep your husband busy at times like that.
