Waking up hungry: the by product of diets.

I woke up today so hungry! Normally I wake up craving for some coffee. Not so today. I want BREAD. I want SOLID. I am hungry.
Sorry, dear, I told myself. You will have to think about something to eat that has not too many carbs yet it is filling. A yogurt? The cup of coffee that you drik every day? Lots of bread with lots of butter(I haven´t tasted butter in 4 or 5 days)? The fridge, inside and out?
I have discovered that we have to slowly train our tummy to feel satisfied eating less. Do you have such problems?

I went through a couple weeks this Christmas/holiday season eating sweets I haven't eaten in 16 months and found myself hungrier than I've been since I started the food program. I'm back on my diet and telling my stomach it doesn't need all that sweet food.

I am not buying the fat food I love. No salami or sausage for me. And I am steam cooking many dishes that I used to fry.

Yes I have problems like that but I try to stop myself from craving too much food. I eat a slice of bread and some spread for breakfast and drink a hot choco cappuccino

I cut completely on butter and I´m adding some fresh cheese or thinly cut lettuce to the bread.

I don't have to wait to feel hungry... my blood sugar lets me know first.. I guess it's a blessing in disguise. Because I eat so often to keep it level, the amounts are tiny... so there is something to that! Just finished half of a banana... couldn't eat the other half!!

@marguicha My mom did and she let it get out of hand. I just monitor mine and eat as healthy as possible. I have seen what can happen if you don't!!

When I get those hunger cravings I start with a big glass of water. It doesn't solve the craving for food but it helps my stomach feel a little fuller.

I have a hard time with carbs. I love my bread. I still eat it but I have cut way back.
