Are you stuck in a rut, angry at someone or even the world? It's time to get on with your life. It is time to move on. Anytime you dwell on a problem, anger, failure, you take away from your success in life. Are you angry at yourself, then, forgive yourself. Everyone makes mistakes. As a human being you are allowed to do so. It's time to stop being angry, feeling sorry for yourself, any problem or action can be forgiven. No matter how large of small. We all need to look to the future. Looking into the past does nothing but to stall us. It is time to forgive yourself and live your life.

The "model prayer" says, "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." Sometimes we can forgive the people who wronged us....but fail to forgive ourselves. God forgives me, so I need to forgive me as well. Excellent point.

I do agree. Many times we forget that we must forgive ourselves.

@HazySue I find life very hard. I have dealt with many things and very few people could help and had to find new ones to help because I could not get it done myself and did not know where to turn to.

This is very important for this time of year when a lot of people are making resolutions or goals for the new year. Forgiving yourself seems to be harder than forgiving others.

It does seem to be harder to forgive yourself than to forgive someone else. We are harder on ourselves than someone else.

I think many times it is because of guilt. We tend to know when we have done something we should not have,

I just think it is important to be able to forgive ourselves for the things we have done in our lives.

Amen! If God forgives us who do we think we are holding unforgiving hearts, towards ourselves or anyone else?

Great post and a very timely one for me. I can't seem to get away from reliving all the stupid things I've done.

How true. If we are living in the past we cannot move to the future.

There is one thing that happened in life that I do have a very hard time to forgive myself for. Tho it was not my intention or even fault still it happened.

I think that some mistakes are so hard to forgive ourselves for. I can understand the guilt but once you do forgive a weight will be lifted from your shoulders. Remember, you cannot go back and change things. The best you can do is forgive yourself and move on.
