Have you ever been to a casino? Was it onshore or offshore casino?

Personally speaking, I am not very much fond of casino, or for that matter, any gambling den. But on one occassion, the captain of my ship, who was quite addicted to gambling, asked me to accompany him to a casino in Pointe Noire, at Congo. While the captain was busy losing his hard earned money, I simply sat at the at the roulette table, sipping the complimentary scotch and placing very small bets, and enjoying the music. Have you ever been to a casino?

I have been to MANY casinos. But in the United States currently they are EVERYWHERE. I NEVER gamble what I am not willing to lose. I also never go into a casino expecting to win.

@porwest Yes, you are right - no one made a fortune by gambling.

@porwest Yes, as you rightly said - only a handful people have made a fortune by winning lotteries. But many have turned paupers too due to gambling.

@amirev777 Not a one. I mean, like lottery winners, there are probably a handful of people who won life changing money. But they are definitely few and far between.

@Nevena83 But you can always accompany someone who likes visting casinos. You could sit and enjoy the free drinks and watch others gamble

I love casinos although there are the nice ones and others that look and smell old. I never go to a casino in my country to put a limit to gmabling. And I only gamble very small amounts.

@marguicha Yes, sometimes gambling may turn out to be an addiction. Also, one tends to be reckless, in intoxicated state - that's why casinos serve free drinks.

I love going to casinos. I only play the slots though. But I have a budget of how much I am willing to spend. And that budget is pretty small. Usually I play on the penny or two cent machines. I've been to a casino in NYC where I live and in other states as well. Also been to one in Canada. I believe it was in Toronto.

@amirev777 True. But casinos are addictive. You wanna keep playing. So, the wallet should only have the amount you are willing to spend. If you have more in there you may spend it all.
