Here, Most Girls Wear Jeans Than Dress

Everyday here , as I go to the office or even go to the mall, I have observed that girls are mostly in jeans and tees or blouse. I hardly see anyone in dress anymore.
In parties, it will still be jeans that is mostly worn by girls, though they wore it with class – with heels, as you can see in our picture during our HS batch’s Christmas party/
As for me, my office uniforms are in skirts, but most of my officemates have it in pants and blouse. Though, I use stockings so when I go inside the jeepney and my skirt goes up as I bow a little so my head won’t hit the roof, I won’t feel nude being stared at my legs.
I know, the reason behind this is the ease in riding public transports. Skirts can be blown by the wind and show your underneath.
What about in your place, are jeans or pants with blouse or tees the most popular wear of the ladies?

I think the choice for jean or slacks is because of the comfortability in movements specially when one travels.
We too, wear a dress on weddings and special occasions. Though, others would still wear pants with classic blouse and high heels, to make the overall look classy.

Yes, but dresses seem to be making a come back.
This is in case of Western wear. We also wear our traditional dresses

I think it's because it is comfortable because the jeans or pants or slacks are now mostly in spandex. So the cloth conforms with every move.

Some girls wear thin shorts beneath the skirts for protection.

Yes, I have seen some- they wear those like cycling shorts. My officemate who wear a skirt too, for our uniform wears that underneath.
Me not anymore, because anyway the skirt is pencil cut.

@sunrisefan Of course, as you can see, the gays here wear dresses already. Funny, that us girls wear pants while they want to dress.

@Happy2BeMe Good for you.
Me, I only wear dress or skirt when I am in uniform. But on wash days of our uniforms - Wednesday, I am in slacks or denims paired with blouses , but in high heels.

I see more women/girls now wearing jeans, leggings or shorts but there are still those few who are in skirts or dresses. I for one mostly wear dresses. I actually don't own any jeans. Believe it or not, I don't wear one. What I wear are those trousers, slacks, capri or culottes, whatever you call it so long as they're not jeans. I also don't wear shorts.

@SIMPLYD I just find it easier to wear dresses.I'm already used to it, feels comfortable to me. I'll just pick one and that's it. Unlike when you wear jeans, I still have to choose a top or blouse to go with it. With a dress, I just wear one, grab a shoes or sandals and that's it. I'm good to go.

During the colder seasons most prefer the warmth of jeans to dresses. Jeans keep you warm and comfy all day and is accepted for it keeps you warm. Locally jeans are very popular too. At the thrift shops you can get a decent pair of jeans for under $10!

Yes, that is understandable why girls from those countries with cold seasons prefer jean or denim pants to dresses. Wow, the jeans there are cheap.
Here a pair of branded jeans or denim pants costs more or less $30 , though, the weather is hot, but still most girls prefer wearing jeans or slacks to work, if they don't have a uniform of skirts and blouses.
In our office, one can choose if she wants the uniform in skirt and blouse or pants and blouse. I am one of those 4 who chose nlouse and skirt for the uniforms. All the rest are in pants and skirts.
But on wash day , Wednesday, I wear denim pants and blouse , but with blazer and high heels to make my look still corporate.

Cheap for these jeans or denim comes from thrift shops. I guess we all got some kind of dress code for work everywhere. Me I'm retired so it's jeans and t-shirts most of the time!

I wear either pants or skirts when I dress up. When I worked in a warehouse, I wore jeans.
