To All The Girls I've Loved Before!

I love this song of Julio Iglesias! It reminds me of those good old days when I was young and restless (70's). - - When girls were sporting mini-skirts and the Monkees were singing "Wild Thing" and the Beatles belting "Hey, Jude!" Anyway, I had some girlfriends when I was young and restless - -and the one that I could never forget was Gina (not her real name). She was sexy, pretty, and athletic. She is 5'"10' tall - - 6 inches taller than me. She found me cute while I was so attracted to her because of her dimples, being tall and sexy. Modesty aside, I excelled in the classroom, while she excelled in the playground. Opposite poles! Having a much taller girlfriend is not all rosy but also thorny. One day Gina and I were on our way to school, a couple of guys yelled - - "Boy, cling tight to your momma!" Gina said - "Nah, just ignore them!" When we kissed I was always the one looking upward while she was looking downward. And one time she just grabbed me and lifted me while we were kissing passionately. I suspected her neck got sore, so she lifted me. Yeah, I was like a baby clinging tight to my dear momma! I guess I have to stop at this point of my story before I get in trouble. Have you ever had funny experiences when you were young and restless? Share us for our reading delight!

Iglesias? What about Willie? Actually, Iglesias & Nelson were only doing a 'cover' of a (Hal) David & (Albert) Hammond song ... although Willie & Julio DID cover it on a 'Julio Iglesias'-album Anyway, I wasn't much of a "ladies' man" after my Traumatic Brain-Injury made me 'less than employable' (I am "employable," but it's more constant-struggle than I'm willing to deal-with). I always wanted to be a "ladies' man," but the closest I ever got were 'hugs in passing'---congratulations for a stunning Karaoke-performance, seeing 'an attractive friend I hadn't seen in a long time,' etc.

It's great to look back on old times. I went out with my now-husband for a while then he ended the relationship. Later he wanted to renew it and eventually we married. But I always tell me when he wanted to be friends again, I had to slow down so he could catch me.
