Above you see today's attempt at artistry. I wanted to start a snowman collection for Christmas and painted snowmen on rocks this morning.
I've been told they turned out very well. I'm proud of them. I found a couple of rocks perfect for next weeks rock painting event. I only need to look up the pictures online so I get them right.
Now, I will interact with you for a little while and hopefully cut down the number of notifications piling up in my inbox.
I also remembered to stop at Social Services and pick up the form for Energy Assistance. I'll fill it out and take it back tomorrow.

Those are rather cute. Do you find these rocks or are you buying them at craft stores? I only ask because I think the only place to find them here is out in the rivers, though there is a rock quarry which might have some pieces like this, smoothed over by age and nature.

@porwest I know you're not being mean. Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone teach me anything about money while I was growing up and my dad was being a penny-pinching miser and kept his mouth shut about his investments. Money was one thing nobody ever discussed in our home. I wish they had instead of leaving me in the dark and now broke and trying desperately to live on the meager income I have with SS.

@just4him You do realize SS was never intended to be a retirement check. People are supposed to save and invest and have other means of retirement income. I am NOT being mean. Only being real. I wish I could educate more people on money, but most people just don't want to know. They want to spend everything they earn and hope someone else will take care of them when they retire. It's painful really.

You definitely know your snowmen... there are so cute!! As for what I'm doing... it's -10 outside and the wind is howling so pretty much nothing! I'm staying put until the weather clears!!

Cute!!!
I did some minor cleaning at home this morning, now I'm at work. When I get home tonight I'll make dinner and then take a bubble bath. :)

Today, i finally got back to Staples where I purchased what I thought was a CD reader for my daughter for Christmas. What I got was a writer, which happens to be all they sell so I decided to keep it as it also reads. They did give me money back since it was hanging on a peg that said thirty dollars not the sixty that I paid. That was nice that they volunteered to do that for me without me getting freaky, which I have never done before.
I also went to my store and got a few more things to help me eat better.
As I said before, I love your snowmen. Maybe, if you make enough of them you can sell them to fellow residents there next year unless that's where the rock painting was being held?

I won't sell them, not when people paint them and hide them for people to find. I'll probably give them as gifts or give them to my friend to have her hide them. I don't want to get involved in hiding them. Painting is good enough.

@MarshaMusselman People paint rocks here and then they hide them for others to find. Everyone does it, not just adults.
