Stray pets..

How many of you reading this would rather feed stray dogs and cats, than keep one at home.
I am a huge animal lover and I feed around 10 stray dogs and 3 cats. I treat them like my pets but they are free to roam around in the streets and enjoy their life to the fullest. I don't feel like having a pet inside my home as I feel they are really happy to be outside playing with their friends.
I have nothing against people who keep pets at home. I mean for them they are family but I view things in a different way. :)

Where I lived before I used to feed stray cats and I had a cat in my home. I do not look at stray animals as having fun outside with the other strays. I look at it that they are not happy being outside in the heat and the rain and the cold in winter. I really wish I could have given them all a place to be inside so they would have a forever home but I do not have that kind of money. Now, I just feed my own cat and enjoy her.

@Hannihar We don't get strong winds and it doesn't snow.. Minimum is 4 deg...
We always have new buildings being constructed in our area so during rains, they go there.. or in someone's garage.. but as soon as the rain stops they start barking like crazy.. WE WANNA BE FREEEE.. I really wish you were here to see..

Hi.. Nice to know that you have such nice thoughts..
Actually here, even if we try to call the animals to come and sleep in our garage they.. don't.. trust me.. they JUST DON'T.. They would come sleep for 15 mins or so and start barking.. they want a large area to run and play around.. That's what they do here the entire winter nights..
I even arranged for a bedding for a wounded dog.. but he also doesn't want to stay in.. They love being outside..

I wonder if some of those animals actually have owners.Animals sometimes wander to other people's house to get some extra food.

@Sheali Hey everyone is different. I think it's nice of you to feed all the animals. Not many people would do that!
I have a cat and dog. And I actually wish often that I had the space and money to look after more. So many animals need homes to live.

Having a pet helps me to get over with stress and depressions. And I love animals too. I love the idea of having dogs and cat roam around in free will is great but people are not very kind. Stray dogs and cats are harassed every time very badly. So sometime I suggest people to adopt stray cats or dogs if they can. I have a dream to take care of most stray cats and dogs of my city one day.
