Some serious bargain shopping

I was on a mission yesterday to get as much as I could for as little money as possible. CVS had sent me a $5 reward so since I had to pick up a prescription, that was my first stop. They have their Christmas items discounted 75% so I bought three jumbo gift bags (reg price $4.99 each) and a box of Hallmark Christmas cards. Total cost to me, 56 cents.
I also had $10 reward buckets at Kohls. I looked at the clothes but in all honesty, I have way too many clothes already and just couldn't justify buying any more. I decided on a box of coffee pods for my coffee maker, the cost to me $2.99.
I took a picture of my look that cost me $3.55. I am pretty happy with this haul!!

I grabbed a few things at 75% at Dollar General the other day too to decorate down here in Florida.

@BelleStarr We have a Dollar General on both sides of us but I have only been in one once, maybe one day I will wander in there and take a look around. I love people with a good eye for bargains

@cintol I love Dollar General, I do very well there. Not the highest quality but a good selection of items. I got a new Christmas rug for $1.75

I wish I could find that many things on sale here at the grocery store. I do look for sales but many things I use are almost never on sale.

@BelleStarr They had coffee beans at 50% and several frozen products, mainly fish fillets (salmon, perch, cod), that I bought.

sounds good. daughter should do that but she is always too rushed it seems to just look shop for best prices etc. what with work, me, cleaning, trying to get some rest etc.

@BelleStarr I think I won't buy anymore. I did get some little candy canes last week for a pittance though. I wouldn't mind some Christmas bags though if they have any of those left.

This one here in Florida is about 7 or 8 miles which is way closer than in Connecticut.

I refuse to buy things that aren't sharply discounted since this was not a necessity. I already bought medium sized bags at Dollar General at 75% off.
