I am totally elated. Yesterday I went for a followup about my eye and was told I am healing really well. I was a little concerned at first because I couldn't read the eye chart as I could before my surgery but then when the Doc came in he said it was probably because I need a new pair of glasses. Whew, that's a total rellief
Ever since I had this surgery I have wondered what I would have done if I had come out of it totally blind. That to me is one hell of a scary thought.
Next week I go to the optometrist to get my prescription for a new pair of glasses.
Have you had your eyes checked lately?

I haven't but I need to do it, I can see well with my glasses, but honestly it is time for a new pair.

My surgeon told me I won't need to worry about cataracts yet but he did say that because of the surgery I had I will most likely get them in a year or so.

Most of the time a new number does it Strange your doctor did not suggest that to you.

That's good to hear - I'm so glad all has worked out for your eyes. Eyes are "everything" - I'm sure it was scary to go through the surgery but you braved it - and thankfully it is healing quite well. Um - I've never had my eyes officially checked . . . I know I need to do that .

Thank you
So France does not have optometrists?
The opthamologist I use does not give prescriptions for glasses, he is only concerned with retina disorders.

You are lucky, I hope you will never need them or if you do then only the simple readers as you age.
