Was I ever nervous, when I saw a man walking a Golden Labrador today, while on our walk! He was just minding his own business and not looking for any problems from us. My first instinct was to get as far off the roadway as we could possibly get! As a matter of fact, we were walking across the front yards of two neighbors:( Yes, I chose to trespass and get hollered at, over possibly having a dog fight out by the road. Kobe resisted like crazy, as I kept repeating over and over again, 'Mind your own business, Kobe!' and kept whirling the end of the leash in front of his face. The man and his dog observed our dilemma, as they kept truckin' on down the road. At the same time, I was walking Kobe at a fast clip, in the opposite direction. Whew, that was close! Once we got back home, Kobe was probably wondering what had just happened. No, I didn't learn any of those fancy moves, in a dog obedience book. They were my very own futile attempts, to keep peace and harmony in this relatively quiet neighborhood Photo:NOT MINE, it's borrowed from Pixabay

@kobesbuddy I'm sorry that he hasn't gotten over that. Danie had an accident last month. I was working and couldn't bring Danie out for a walk so I asked our maid to do so. Danie was attacked by a Belgian Malinois, grabbing Danie by the neck with its huge mouth. The maid took Danie and the aggressive dog bit the maid. When I came home, Danie was traumatised. She was under my bed and wouldn't get out. I had to move the bed to carry her. I had to console her and make her feel secure again. Thankfully, Danie recovered from her trauma in just a day. Now she still plays with other dogs including big ones.

I know how you feel since my former pet who was a German Shepherd named Thunder II (Since he was the second German Shepherd/Black Labrador Retriever) would get me in trouble when he saw another dog or cat on the street. Both dogs are gone now. Thunder II ashes are in my bedroom drawer.
