Yes, I am using a quote once more. I love quotes, they get their ideas across clearly and concisely. This is a quote that I find myself turning to quite often lately. Yes, I am in pain and sometimes it is hard to deal with it. Sometimes I need an outside reminder that pain is a natural process of life and that everyone experiences it ever now and then. It is not always easy to deal with pain and it does get in the way of living your life to an extent. However, I learned a while ago that to dwell on it is to make it more powerful. I know there are many people here on this site that are battling pain at times and they are keeping those spirits up and dealing with it. Every now and then I do believe that we just need to be able to vent and move on. Now that I have said all that I will move on to bigger and better things. My day will be filled with writing, reading, and resting. Tonight's dinner will be...wait for it, wait for it...Leftovers. I have a stuffed pepper, some mac and cheese, a pork steak, and the rest of a fiesta salad to get rid of and I don't want to throw it away. I hope everyone has a happy, healthy day.

It's not easy to deal with pain. I cannot really complain, I do not have big problems except a chronic back pain. Today is a bit worse than usual.

@HazySue I am usually pretty healthy, but not all days are pain free.

I think most of us have our good days and our bad days. I am glad you do not have a lot of painful conditions.

It is hard to fight pain. Sometimes I fight till I can't anymore and then have to take a pill.

I have days when my knees flair up so bad I can barely do anything. Thankfully it's not a daily issue (only when the weather changes it seems). Sometimes it's really hard to keep a positive outlook when the pain takes over. I'm always in favor of leftovers. Tonight we're having chicken stir fry

@HazySue when it gets that bad you need a pill which will help. When I have days when I'm in so much pain I can barely walk I go with it and don't push myself. It's best to listen to our bodies.

It is hard to keep that positive attitude going when you are in a whole lot of pain. All you can do is try. I knew several years ago this was coming so I have learned a few self-hypnosis techniques and they do work to a certain extent sometimes. Other times when I can't stand it any longer I take a very strong pill to help me. I don't like doing it but sometimes it is necessary.

@Marilynda1225 I try to go with it. My husband tends to hang over me on the worst days and I love him for that but I really would rather be left alone.

Leftovers are good. Yes, pain is a daily thing for me too, though today is a good day. Almost no pain which means there aren't any incoming storm systems.

@HazySue Yes, it is interesting. When I got up this morning, I was virtually pain-free. When I got ready to leave the ADRC and come home from rock painting, my knees protested big time. The storm system is coming. We're supposed to get snow this afternoon.

It's interesting to have a weather teller in your body. Painful but interesting. I have been in pain for a while now. Sometimes it does get me down but I fight that feeling the best I can.

For sure pain has a purpose but since it i not enjoyable, I like to find ways to either lessen the pain or get rid of it all-together. While I was eating last night I bit my lip and i think it happened because I was eating too fast. After that I slowed down and finished my supper without any further damage.

@HazySue When it comes to pain, prevention is always the best way of dealing with it. Some of us learn and some of us learn too late and then we have to suffer for a long time.

It is good to live by and reflect on quotes from time to time. After all, most quotes were written by a person who has firsthand knowledge in whatever the quote is about. I hope your day turns out to be a good one.

I decided a few ye4arsz ago that I can eithe4r give into the pain and be miserable or try to manage it and live my life. I am lucky that I have many hobbies I can do while I am off my feet.

It isn't a whole lot of fun. If you can not let it take ove4r your life, depress you and such, you can sort of manage it. Sometimes anyway.

I understand this, but you know, quotes are just words. They may have deep meanings, but in the end they are only words. You don't need them. All you need is to do things yourself and if you can't, remember there is still tomorrow .
