How many of you removed them just yesterday?? Most of you guys must have removed the decorations but there may be some people who still haven't.. I mean it must be so difficult emotionally to remove the decorations after such a lovely occasion. I really love watching Christmas videos on You Tube and now it feels af if there is nothing to see any more.. I watch many types of videos and this time of the year I mainly watch Christmas vids..

In Germany, Christmas is over on January 6th at the latest. This is the day of Epiphany in the church calendar. In case you want to know more, here is an article from Wikipedia (too long to quote in a comment). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epiphany_season

@Sheali This is the Orthodox branch of Christianity. Orthodox Christians live mainly in Greece and Eastern Europe. They celebrate their holidays about two weeks after the Catholics and Protestants.

We removed our Christmas decorations on January 6th. This year we had a very small Christmas tree (in a pot) We have removed the decorations from the tree, but we will keep the tree. We have also removed the other decorations like the lights and the other things that we kept in our living room.

@Sheali Yes, I like the tree without the decorations, too. It is so small that we were able to keep it in the window.

We cleaned off our counters on January 1st. We didn't actually decorate for Christmas, but we did receive Christmas cards and small gifts, that were displayed on our counter for a week.

@Sheali I took everything down around the 1st of January. Usually I do it around mid January but changed things up this year.

I only put up a tree this year and wish I hadn't. It is one of those prelit tress so it wasn't even a lot of work in putting it up. I took all the ornaments off the day before the new year and now I have half a tree up. As in the first section is down and back in the box but the other two are still up. The tree sections are suprisingly to heavy for me to yank apart and carry to the box. I guess that is because it is prelit and like 8 ft tall because none of my other fake trees were this heavy. Now just waiting in my boyfriend to take the other sections down and put them away. So the tree may still be up till next Christmas.

I took them down soon after Christmas day. I get a bit tired of seeing them around after Christmas day is over.

I put my decorations up every year around American Thanksgiving and they pretty much come down right before new years because by then I am on Christmas overload. As much as I love Christmas I have pretty much had enough .
