Mylotters Getting Together

Yes, it's that time of the year when I get together with some mylotting friends in Florida. This year it is Paintsonslate. She is visiting family in Ocala and we made arrangements to have lunch together.
Since I am more familiar with the area, I got to choose where we ate and I chose The Crazy Cucumber, I don't think @painsonslate was disappointed. We both had the same delicious crazy cucumber spinach salad with shrimp. It was delicious.
We spent about 2 hours together catching up on family and mylot. It was enjoyable as always and we are already talking about next year!!
Anyone else planning to get together with fellow mylotters?

We were really delighted to see each other again, this is our third get together. Yes Jeff and I have been trying to coordinate for 3 years lol

@DianneN Yes indeed, he works all week and does things with the kids on the weekends so makes it a little hard to find a time lol And I am not driving far at night!!

Yah it is tough when you don't drive. I picked paintsonslate up at her families house, they live about 10 miles from where I do.

@BelleStarr i barely get out of bed so you would not enjoy it. My daughter is usually trying to sleep, catch up on housework or gone to work and Clay acts annoyed when he has to answer the door. Otherwise it would be wonderful. Though I would be embarrassed as I am hardly ever presentable these days.

@PainsOnSlate We will, and it should be a lot of fun. We were there last January when the falls were frozen over, but I believe that you were lunching with Izzy down in Florida.

@Juliaacv yes we do go to lunch but it’s not necessary, Do you ever go to Niagara On The Lake,? I deliver my art there about two times every month, especially during the summer, and there are parks to walk in all over the Niagara area. Think about it and let’s get together for lunch ( I met izzy’s Husband and his friend in NOTL) or for a walk with time to talk...

We used to go to Daytona but lately we stop in Ocala, then head to the Gulf. Good to know where you are, we almost came to Daytona this time but no, not this year.

I've talked about it in fun, but I don't see it happening any year soon. Maybe down the road after I retire and maybe not. We'll just have to see. If I make it down there I plan on playing cards with DianneN.
I do live in the same state as two or more mylotters, some are on the west side of the state and another is about forty minutes from me. But, again, if I weren't working it might be more feasible to consider visiting others.

@MarshaMusselman We play Setback, setback 5-9, pinochle, cribbage, back alley, hearts no bridge however. I have never heard of Smear of peanuts. I just looked it up and smeal is a variation of Pitch which is another name for setback. So I guess we know how to play smear

@BelleStarr If you count online and pc games too many. But for card games mainly Smear and peanuts. I do play euchre too but our family likes Smear more and that's what we play at most get-to-gethers.
I've played a lot more than that through the years, but would have to be reminded of the rules for some. Some we played lot when young and those probably most of us would pick back up easy again.
