Today was a better day at work

We were still short staffed because the woman that was out all last week called in sick again today. She said she would be in tomorrow so we will see. It was a busy day but everything went smoothly and I got a lot of things done. I am glad that I worked on Saturday. It made things much easier today.
Now I am home. I had some leftover beef stew and I have a load of laundry on the go. Other then that just going to spend my time here and relax.

@thislittlepennyearns I know my boss isn't too impressed. She calls in sick at least once a month and always misses 2-3 days at a time. Anybody else would be gone.

@DianneN I know he is getting pretty fed up because none of the rest of us miss time unless we are really really sick. We get 5 sick days a years and most of us don't even take them.

Not sure. She calls in sick at least once a month and misses 2 and 3 days at a time.

It is never fun when a co-worker is out sick. I recall one incident at my last job.
I walked in and handed the manager of the store (not direct manager) a doctor's note. He was none too pleased and told me to give the note to the manager over grocery who was in the back. I walked all across the store and to the back. Apparently the manager over grocery said that not only was I out sick now but so was my manager and one of my co-workers.
I got a call asking if I could come in the next day. I had to explain to them that it was pink eye and I wasn't coming in!

I'm glad that your Monday was a pretty good day.
Mine was very busy, hopefully tomorrow will ease up just a bit.
Beef stew would be a wonderful meal on a cold night like this, we had chicken stir-fry. My husband even fried up a few slices of bacon so that we could put that in the wraps with the rest of the goodies.
