The Proof Is In The Pudding

After the hard days work yesterday I figured I would wake and be so sore I could barely move, but its the opposite, I slept hard and I feel fine. The only soreness I have is my right bicep. I look out the window this morning and I feel proud of myself for just doing it, clearing, cutting out the woods to make it a place for something wonderful, using the trees and not just tossing them. I was thinking, its been a couple, almost three, years since I have cleared land. And No I do not use a chainsaw, although I have a small electric but I really want a gas powered chainsaw. I used the best saw EVER! a reciprocation saw, this bad boy will cut anything from trees to pipe and go right through nails. I wished I could have taken pictures but I did not buy a new camera and my poor 12 year old Kodak broke, the internal part where the batteries goes. I might can try to take a couple with the Fire. I want photos, love photos, need photos! I have today and tomorrow before the rain comes back in, but the good news is not cold, just rain. And.... the proof is in the pudding, you try it you like it. same thing I feel when I am working on the homestead. Photo I googled of the saw I use.

I so envy you to be able to do this kind of work. I was most happy in my life when I was cutting branches and gardening. No more of this life unfortunately.

@andriaperry How large a cut can you make? Like I have "logs" in my yard. Hubby has been too sick to chainsaw. Then of course it has been too wet, too cold, too icy, too windy.

@andriaperry That is one of my favorite saws to use too. But I dont use it very often so will often feel it the next day from the vibrating.

I was shocked. That was so much easier than the loppers, all muscles would have hurt with those, but since Tony is sick he could not sttop me.

I've heard others say how useful a reciprocating saw is. We have several different size chainsaws at the moment.

We have both gas and electric chain saws. Bob does not think I should use them. I have a reciprocating saw I bought from a buy sell trade group, and we got blades. I did not realize they are good for trees.

I think when you look out and like what you see, that makes all the work worthwhile.
