Cup of Joy

What is your cup of joy? What brings you pleasure and puts a smile on your face a mile wide?
For me, my cup of joy is many things. It's my relationship with Jesus Christ. It's being here with you. It's socializing at the pool. It's rock-painting. It's being with my children and grandchildren. And it's writing. It's watching it snow in winter, or being near water in summer and letting the scene relax me. It's a good book and a good movie.
Life is filled with so many things to experience and enjoy. What's your cup of joy.
I'm finished with notifications for January 14. Tomorrow I'll work my way through the 15th and maybe I'll even finish. Time to try to get book work done. Thanks for reading.
Picture is my Little Cup of Joy five years ago. My first great-granddaughter.

I am not sure right now what gives me joy. It seems to be pushed to the back burner. I just gave my husband an old brass case that I had to keep his brass cribbage pegs in. The look on his face and his pleasure is my cup of joy. I think that at least in part, giving to others is joy for me. Friends and family as well. I get joy when I connect with a spiritual lesson or message as well.

I'm sure he was very happy with the cribbage set. It makes for a full cup of joy when you give to others.

@just4him - Your great-granddaughter is delightful! I do not have any great-grandchildren, but I have four daughters and 8 grandchildren and they are definitely my Cup of Joy!

Wow, she's adorable! What is her name?
My cup of joy is much similar to yours. (Psalm 23:5)

@1hopefulman I do when I can. They live in Austin, Texas, so I haven't seen them in over a year.

There seems to be a lot in my cup...Writing, friends, all the great snow we have here at the moment and of course, lots of good clean G-rated fun.

@xander6464 Every time I looked at the forecast the predictor went north or south. This morning was the first time it landed on us, and it's still snowing.
This is the picture I took about half an hour ago.

Mine is my relationship with my family and husband. They are my everything. Having a place to go work out and have fun is a close second. I'm still going there 2+ years later even though it is 25 minutes away from my house. That tells you something about how amazing it is.

That is totally awesome. I hope you grow stronger in your relationship with your husband, and you stay healthy with your fitness regimen.

Commenting to online forums as well as MyLot, taking care of my grandmother, thinking about my pet cockatiel (who passed away in 2003), and going out to eat are just some of the things that put a smile on my face and make me happy.

What a precious picture of your great granddaughter. That picture brought me joy when I came to your post.
Many of the things you listed give me joy too but mainly it's my family and I'd have to add our pups.

Children have a way of filling our cups to the brim with happiness. Pups have a way of making everything right in a chaotic world. I miss my pups. Have a blessed day.

She is adorable. Of course, my faith brings me joy, things I love to do and I try to find something to smile about every day.
