How do you stay in shape?

I'm trying to get more into shape. I definitely don't need to lose weight or anything, but I just want my body to be more like it used to. In the past, it was easier to stay in shape, but now I'm finding it difficult. I also don't think I eat unhealthy. I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit, though I do have the occasional unhealthy snack or pizza. So now, I'm wondering what you all do to stay in shape? Do you go to gym? Do you practice any sports? Do you pay attention to your diet? Give me all your tips!

Park far away and walk. Use the stair. Get up and move around throughout the day. Walk every day.

I don't have a car, I mostly go to places by bike, so I think I've got that covered!

Mine never really recovered after I had children but I'm not fat! I am now 69 so I prefer a gentler form of exercise like a brisk walk. I have two dogs so I walk them every day.

@sprite1950 I have a fitbit as well. I was trying to get to 10,000 steps every day in January and was doing well, but then I had an accident so now I'm waiting for February to try again.

@maclanis I have a fitbit which monitors how many steps I walk. I try to make 10,000 a day but don't always manage it.

I too, eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, try to lead an active life and stay away from the junk. I try to go for a walk almost every day and I have two 8 lbs dumbbells that I exercise with every now and hen some and also use a rebounder.

I used to fasting, it can lower your weight fast... Or just think and think, it consume more energy than doing an exercise

The shape I'm in now is a combo of a disorder and eating too much. I've changed that, have medications trying to get my metabolism in shape and go to the gym to swim, do a few light weights and I go walk the river walk or around our property. It's fun to do some Youtube videos for dance too.

Going to a gym works for many. I'm not in shape - well, not a good shape so I can't really help.

I actually use an app to track my steps and use somewhat of a calorie counting way but not with food. You'll burn one calorie for every 20 steps you take and an average person usually takes about 3000 steps a day which means you burn 150 calories by just walking. Depending on what you ate that day, especially if its something healthy, you can easily bunr it off by just walking and keeping track of your steps. Otherwise, I recommend calorie counting as well, calorie counting works well for me but I just need to plan very well
