Favorite "City" Songs #10 - "Clash City Rockers"

Might as well start the "City" edition of today's Town, City, State, Country series with a serious bang! We are at #10: "Clash City Rockers" by The Clash. Only #10 for arguably the Greatest Punk Band Ever? Yeah, I don't know either, but here we are. "Clash City Rockers" was an old tune from vocalist Joe Strummer's pub rock days, which the band remade as a single in 1978, and was later made available on the 1979 US release of the band's self-titled debut album. The British single peaked at #35 in the UK. Even way back then, listening to this, it's obvious that The Clash were going to be something special. "Clash City Rockers" is an all-time great punk tune, and they only got better and better. Sure, you are more than likely familiar with "Rock the Casbah" and "Should I Stay or Should I Go," but "Clash City Rockers" is an equally important song within the band's catalog. Did I mention that it's an all-time great punk tune? Well, it most definitely is. (Info verified by Wikipedia)
