How do you deal with spoiled children?

Lately, in the streets, I have seen many children disrespecting their parents and not being punished for it... On the contrary, they are being rewarded for not obeying orders. For example: a child screaming with parents (because they don't want to buy ice cream) and ends up getting what he wanted after crying a lot (making a "beautiful" show). I think children have to understand that they can't have everything, especially when they want it. How do you deal with those kind of kids?

My child is not like that, but I can not even say he respects me. It hurts me a lot, he is already big, he is 16, but he often behaves very badly towards me.

@WiseGhots Yes, I should do something and every day I try to show him where he is wrong and that behavior is not good, but I do not see that he changes that.

I stare them down in stores. I won't put up with it in my classroom.

it is really not good to punish them physically though, but also not good to spoil them. raising kids is hard If it was me, i would talk to him/her calmly or just let them cry for a bit since if you immediately give the kid what he/she wants he/she will do it every time

I don't mean physical punishment, but there are several other ways to punish them. Right?

My youngest son tried throwing a temper tantrum in the store one time. You know the kind, dropping to the floor kicking and screaming. I laid down and joined him until he quit. I had the best behaved little boy ever the rest of the day. But a temper tantrum never got them what they wanted with me.

Children are products of the adults around them! They do what they see and they do what's allowed. I don't allow it! Be it nieces and nephews, friends, or anyone, I simply will not engage with that type of behavior nor will they get what they want from me by doing it! Scream away...you look foolish and will get nothing in return! I'll be over here when you're finished...

First and foremost it is like looking for a needle in a haystack when it comes to well behaved children They behave better when their parents are not around. I do not tolerate them

Some children behave really badly when they're out. I guess they are just the same at home.

I am appalled by this spoiled rotten behavior but it is down to the parents in many cases. So what can one do about it? Not a lot if they are not your kids.
