Funny Snake Story

Most of us do not think of snakes as very funny. However, when we lived in Texas, a neighbor who was an emergency room nurse told us a funny story about a patient who had been brought to her hospital because of a snake: Here's what happened ... A woman was bringing her plants inside because there was supposed to be a freeze that night. Suddenly, she saw a snake slither out from one of the plants and slide under her sofa. She began to scream. Her husband was taking a shower. He heard her screaming and ran into the living room, wet and naked. He bent over to look under the sofa to try and see the snake. Their dog came in and licked his wet behind. The nervous man passed out! The woman thought her husband had had a heart attack, so she called 911 for an ambulance. When the paramedics put him on the stretcher and started to raise it, the snake came out from under the sofa and slithered over the shoe of one of the paramedics, who promptly dropped his end of the stretcher, causing the man to slide partway off and break his leg. When the man arrived in the Emergency Room at the hospital, his only problem was the broken leg. Fortunately, he did not have a heart attack and no one received a snake bite. All the problems were simply because everyone was afraid of the snake! LOL The woman later called animal control to come to her home and remove the snake! Honestly, I think I might have passed out, too, if a dog licked my behind while I was looking for a snake!
