Out of control. This world, and the next. We are all OUT OF CONTROL. And we are moving at a very fast pace. Chimes and Grimmly were late to investigate a murder on 6th and Branson in the Southern area of D-City. Smoke 'em if you got 'em. Yea. I know the feeling. Get your guns, meet us in ten. Shoot out at the Fun Factory. 2 heavily armed young men, wearing black and carrying MP5 assault weapons. Firing into a large crowd. The Black Cobra was fully loaded, they got in and tore out at high speed, screeching finally to a halt, in front of the Factory. "I remember a time when we both had some fun there, the ladies were hot and we got totally stoned." "Watch our 6. Lets move in, Okay, it's clear. " rapid fire came from the back of the stage. people laying all around and running in a frenzied panic. Smoke filled the entire area and flashing lights from the stage glowed like luminescent diamonds cascading and spreading through the place. More gunfire. "We're going in. eyes on. Pow. Bang, Pow Pow Pow !!! .... then silence. The two men got away. Godamitt. Call dispatch, let's go back out and get in and try to follow them. I heard their car take off just outside in the back alley." Emergency Trucks arrived immediately to see to the dead and the wounded. Hysterical people crying and moaning. It was a war zone. Jan and Dan took the heavily injured first and Sandra and Michael looked for ids on the dead. Soon after that, the news crew arrived. By then Chimes and Grimmly were in hot pursuit of the suspect vehicle. They gave chase. Flying at 60 up North Hampton they gained speed and managed to keep them in their sight. It was late, past midnight, cloudy and windy and there was a storm about to break. Lightening and winds came through almost immediately. While Grimmly was in control of the wheel, Chimes shot as many rounds as possible in the Unsub's direction until the large SUV flipped over and took a nose dive off the bridge and into the Trinity River some 35 feet below. Crashing into the freezing waters, those two were expected to be out of commission by the time the rescue team made it to the scene. There had been warnings. On a news broadcast, about 10 minutes later, the report indicated that the two shooters were members of a cult group known as the Black Hat Six. They were students at the Ambassador County College and were posting on Face Place online and had said they were on a mission to rid the world of low lives they thought were all about the Free Lies Movement, a radical group of people who thought they would change the world by telling lies about everything that we all once held true. They said that if they ever left this world they would do so in glory, not in a whimper by sitting around doing nothing. So far over 80 members had joined their movement and it had been growing since the past few years. Another night of criminal action, another night for Chimes and Grimmly to fight crime any way they can. With guns blazing. They ended their day by taking a few hours off at the local memorial park where they stood around in prayer with a group of locals who knew some of the club members who had been killed and or injured and the event ended with a passage from the bible, by Reverend Joseph Parker, " He causes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Even when I walk in the valley of darkness, I will fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff-they comfort me." - from the Holy Bible: Psalm 23:4 They all walked away but left candles burning the rest of the night through. Chapter Two: 2 students going undercover Jake and Daniel were students at the University of Texas at Oakwoods. Jake was looking online for more information on the Black Hat Six and the Free Lies Movement. "Dan, you know that shooting last night where some students from Ambassador College went on a killing spree and got run off a bridge?" - Daniel was reading a book by Stephen King and looked up and answered, "Yea, what about it?" Jake continued, "Well, it looks like there is an opening for us." Dan replied, "What are you talking about Jake?, as he continued to look back down at the book he was reading. Jake added, "The police need some undercover work by students who are savvy on the internet and have a good way around the web. It seems they are doing interviews in a few days, to see if anyone is interested in going incognito, and joining the Black Hat Six and take notes and return to the Southwest division with details about that organization. They think there is a connection between that Buzz group of teenagers being radicalized by some kind of extremist group to get people to go against the establishment. They say that there seems to be a clear connection between the shootings at the Fun Factory and that radical group, but there are risks to consider." Dan replied, "Oh, you mean you want us to go undercover and risk our lives? I mean, we could get into all kinds of trouble." - Jake said, "Oh well it's just an idea. But I am going to call them tomorrow and find out some more about it. And if you want to, you can tag along with me if you want just to satisfy your own curiosity about it." Dan said, "I will give it some thought. Meantime, I have a chapter to finish before going to sleep. I am tired from all the computer lectures this afternoon." James LaBrie Euphoric on YouTube A song to set the mood for the story. Hope you enjoy it.

I like it. Dragnet meets Starsky And Hutch. "Out of control. This world, and the next." ---That is a beautiful line.

I was looking for a good title picture and found it on Pixabay. Public domain pictures that I use for most of my discussion's title pictures. I thought the image was a very good one for my story. Glad you like it.

@lookatdesktop i super like it! Speaking of pixabay, say you write a book and you sell it and you use the pixabay’s pictures. The latter will not sue you, right since they are free? At least, some of them.

@fluffy69 , I do not know if I would use a pixabay pic for a book cover and do not know if it is permitted to do so, but for online article writing it is okay, and if you contact them you can probably find out if that is possible to do, that is, to use a Pixabay picture for your book cover image. I used my own art for the cover of my e-book.
