It's time to go to the John. No, not THAT "john," but rather songs that have "John" or "Johnny" in the title. This will probably scare everyone, considering this is the #10 song and we're going to #1. Yes, it's me. My account hasn't been hacked. Here's the number ten song. #10: Johnny Strikes Up the Band - Warren Zevon And yes, I feel fine. Wait till you see some of the other songs on this list, then you'll understand why he's "only" #10. The opening track on Zevon's "breakthrough" album, Excitable Boy, is an upbeat, positive, midtempo rocker. That just throws you a curve ball for what's to follow: dark songs like "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner" and desperation songs like "Lawyers, Guns and Money" fill out the album. Zevon was just toying with you with this one. This was Zevon's best-known album until 2003's The Wind, which he recorded after receiving a diagnosis of terminal lung cancer.
