She was The outcast The one chosen Last. They judged her For the things she couldn’t change Nor did she want to She wore Who she was Like a badge of honor And Yes I guess it was. She was the Head always buried In a book Escaping taunts And teases In far off lands In long ago places. She was The girl they tried To break and beat With words Like weapons.
