In Between Storms

Happy Friday Everyone!
The big news here is the weather. Boring!!
Woke up this morning to a dusting of snow but it's just a taste of what's coming over the weekend. Unfortunately I'm in the area where we'll get mostly snow and above us in the Pocono Mountains they'll get about a foot.
The wicked part is that this will mix with rain and freeze causing lots of problems. My biggest concern is power outages especially since it's so freaking cold and that means no heat. Otherwise, I'm not worried about the rest.
For today, my daughter just left for her doctor appointment for her results and I'm keeping my fingers crossed all goes well. Not that it's anything serious but I hate to see her having to take medications for anything health related.
Then she'll run to the store to pick up a few things to get us through the weekend and then hunker down for the next few days.
It's anyones guess what the weekend will bring weather-wise but I'm not stressing cause I can't control any of it.
For all those in warmer temperatures I'm so jealous!!

It's anyone's guess what we'll get here too, but we also got a light dusting this morning.

We are expecting the same storm. I will pick up some things after work and then once I get home I will be home until the storm is over. They have no idea what we are going to get. It could be all snow, it could be snow and freezing rain. I guess we will just have to wait and see what it brings. Stay safe and warm.

We have that same storm..but it will probably be almost all rain. We might have a glaze of ice on Sunday. I hope your daughter has nothing serious going on.

Sometimes hot can be as uncomfortable as cold. But enjoy your warm weather and in a few months we'll be switching seasons again

We had a coating of snow this morning also.
It wasn't a big deal, but we have had such a mild and dry winter, that it seemed like a big deal.
This evening that Colorado Front is forecasted to come into our region, but we are on the fringe of it and may not see anything or we may see a lot of snow.
I'm not worried, its just snow, and its January, no better time for snow to fall.

We're supposed to get snow, rain and then everything will turn to ice as the temperature plummets. Looks like we're in for a mess but there's nothing we can do about it. At least I don't have to go anywhere and can just relax

@Marilynda1225 Our weather turned cold yesterday, so when the clouds opened up last night, it came down as big fluffy flakes of snow. Its still snowing lightly, the wind and temperatures are cold.
Relaxing is the name of the game today.

Im jealous of the warmer areas too. Our amounts of snow keeps changing here. They have no idea what we are getting.

I hope you don't get that wintery mix or lose power. Those concerned me, too. We put in a generator which has come in very handy. Our son just had a generator installed in his new house, but needs a 2 1/2 hour lesson on how to use it. I hope he doesn't lose power before Jan. 23rd.
I won't dare tell you that it's sunny, yet again, with a high of 77 and a low of 63 with a very light breeze.

I knew you were going to tease me with your balmy weather.
Each year I say I'm going to get a generator but I never do. I'd really like the whole house one as a backup

. I couldn’t resist teasing you. . You must come for a visit.
We needed the generator for obvious reasons, but most of all for our well. The water is needed to flush the toilets.

no mess, no ice, snow or rain here. The temp is supposed to get up to the 60's here in my area of Florida today. The sun is shining and the squirrels are running around the yard. I would do the same thing you are in your kind of weather, stock up and hunker down for a few days. Hope you stay warm and cozy.
