Telemarketing Phone Calls: How do you handle with them?

I think this kind of situation bothers everyone... Sooner or later, we all end up getting telemarketing phone calls trying to sell us something / some plan (usually from phone companies, internet companies, cable TV or some store), right? I know those people are just doing their job, but the vast majority of them are very annoying. How do you get rid of them?

I don't bother with them, I let it go to voicemail or hit the reject button.

Voicemail and delete. You can block the numbers and sign up for the Do Not Call list. Just don't answer the phone and screen your calls.

I hang up as soon as I recognize it's a telemarketer.

I just hang up. Anything else just wastes more of my time.

There's nothing you can do. I never pick up the phone and let the answering machine handle all.

This seems to be a nice plan.

My landline goes straight to voicemail and I block any that hit my cell.

I hang up as soon as I realise what they're doing.
