After about a couple or weeks ago my uncle is still in the hospital since I donated a bag of blood for him. There seems to be a lot of complications involve in him. He is for heart surgery but they could not proceed because he has asthma and recently his kidney has been diagnosed to be failing as well. So doctors are stabilizing his kidney first before they would proceed. So far i could see in him strong sense to fight on. He seems strong and makes every effort to show his gratitude for visiting him at the hospital. But I am not used to seeing him this weak. I saw him back when my mom was struggling he was so strong and alive that he could carry my mom but now all that strength is drained. I still am hopeful he could recover still.

I hope he is doing well with your blood.
Interestingly we could not donate blood to our relative. To be more precise, we can donate here but the blood will be send to analysis and all so they will bring others blood to allow your relative to use it.

True I am in disbelief right now that the man I used to see as strong willed man is now in that state. But i am impressed by his will to really show us that he is ok despite his condition. If only strength can be donated I would spare some of mine with him.

I am just not sure but I know he is passed 60’s already. His doctor had told he should undergo angioplasty but in the course of his tests he was diagnosed to have other problems other than his heart so it makes it more difficult for them to do the angioplasty.

@SIMPLYD True it seems like if he has one way only. If he chose to stop then we know what the outcome would be. If he goes the other way he has still a 50/50 chance of surviving. He is choosing to fight although he sometimes say that he is already very tired and weak.

That is the best thing, seeing him fighting and not giving up with this illness.

I pray that everything is well with him. How is he now? I remember visiting my uncle who had a liver cancer. He was confined in UST Hospital but they decided to bring him back to Pampanga.

We all grow all, get weak and die eventually. Now, it's you who has to be strong for him.
He's probably getting old and as we grow old, our internal organs fail us.

True. For so long as I lived never seen him so down and weak. I am used to seeing him during his asthma attacks and still recovers fast from it as soon as its taken by meds. This time looks like the whole body is bogged down and complicated with lots of problem that happens here and there.

It is so hard and stressful to see the one's we love suffering in poor health. Hope your uncle receives the care he needs and returns to good health.

Sorry to learn about your ailing uncle . . My sister, who is in the Philippines, is ill, too. She got a small tumor in her brain. . .
