I will never understand why panic attacks appear without a real reason. I am watching tv or writing here and the panic attacks appear. I feel very stressed, I feel I can't breathe, I am anxious and I hyperventilate. All these symptoms without a reason. I feel very weak even if I eat. Does anyone know why panic attacks appear without a reason?

I am sorry to hear that, it sometimes occur to me but of course there are reasons for the panic, but in your case it's very unusual what's causing it. Do you have sort of a phobia? or unreasonable fear to something?

I have never had them and so cannot be of much help. Have you found anything that helps you when you get a panic attack?

I am really sorry, but I don't know. Maybe some one here can give you a good advice.
Perhaps, you should meditate a little or indulge yourself in activities that you like. when you have panic attack, try to be with someone with whom you can share your feelings..

I learned a long time ago that our digestion and brain are closely connected. If we can get right bacteria into our digestion, we can feel much better. Wrong bacteria can cause depression, dyslexia, autism and many other dysfunctions and especially antibiotics can destroy the good bacteria. Maybe panic attacks can stop if our digestion works well? I would also avoid meat from animals that have been treated with antibiotics.
You might ask for probiotics in a health store. I buy AcidophilusPlus from Neolife.com. You can also try fermented foods - like Sauerkraut etc.. Yogurt with live bacteria may also help you. At least there is no harm to test..
Dr Mercola wrote about the connection with brain and digestion.. why not search on his site?

My son did have one for the first time. We were not ready for this but seeing him like what you describe it seems like there are really many of you who are suffering from it. I also do not have any explanation on it except that it is biological hormones that may be the cause of it. The environment could be a contributing factor but it is mostly chemical imbalance that triggers it to worsen the symptoms.

Because a distressing thought suddenly pops into your head or a certain image triggers it.
