it's 1 AM here in southeast asia.
it's been a long day so i searched youtube for some relaxing music to listen to while winding down here a bit at mylot before i log off.
i clicked on this piano music and it's so relaxing!
i scrolled through the comments and it was amazing to see comments in various languages and scripts appreciating this piano music.
i would copy-paste those not in english alphabet to google, add the word 'translate' in the end, then hit 'enter' to find out what language they were. some of the results were chinese, russian, bulgarian, malayalam, etc.
lastly, i copy-pasted the account's name in japanese script on google and the result was:
Subete umaku iku or Everything will be alright.
isn't it amazing how easily we can satisfy our curiosity now with the internet?
sure, they may not be accurate, but it was simply magical to see.
i've attached the link to the one i'm listening to if you're interested.
hope you enjoy it, too.
or you can share what you listen to that calms you down, if you like.
? ?????????????????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????????? ???????????????? ??????????????????????? ????????? ???????????????? ??????????????????????...

I do that sometimes too, but I type meditative music. It usually takes me to something like this. Then I go, enough of that. Punk rock is better.

i like it when the music posters here post links to songs that i've forgotten about or never heard of and liked it.

The internet is so useful ; one can easily translate languages. Piano music is soothing; yes it can relieve stress too! Why so many question marks at the link you provided?

because that's the link to the piano music and the youtube account is in japanese. scripts/characters that don't use the english language alphabet come out as question marks here. those mylotting on a phone and using the emojis on their phones will also come out as question marks here.

The internet can be an amazing tool when we use it that way - no wonder everyone gets hooked on it, right? Ohhhh, we have a lot of cleaning to do in the house today. I will definitely give this a listen when we do . . . always nice to find something great on YouTube too (another great site that satisfies us!).

@hereandthere I guess that would pretty much be the translation - that all will go well. It's amazing what we can look up with only those bits and pieces! Our alphabet has 2 versions - both are pronounced the same - but it is written differently. Katakana is the first one I learned - we used to say it was the "easier" one to write . . . used for foreign words or certain expressions (like ha ha, laughing). Then there is hiragana - a tad more complex and curvier in writing - and that was what you mainly see when you read something in Japanese, along with Kanji (the more complex character). The "subete" line is in hiragana. Underneath that line, you see a sentence . . . after the first 5 characters you see something that is comma . . . the next 5 letters after that is in katakana because it says "relax". If that makes any sense .

i search in both english and tagalog. i always think i'm sure i can get even fragments of information about something then take it from there. was the translation correct? what's the difference between hiragana and katakana?

our parents organized piano lessons for all of us, too, but none of us were really into it.

@mom210 among us siblings, i'd say only one really had talent. he can play both guitar and piano.
if your daughter ever outgrows it, at least it will be her choice, just as it was her choice to have lessons.

@hereandthere I asked them before I started them because I was forced as a kid too. Only two wanted to do it and seem to be doing well. I guess I always wanted to be able to play, but didn't want to do the work.

I love soft piano playing. I've always found comfort in Bach's piano pieces and some of Mendelssohn's too. :)

I have not listened much to instrumental songs for couple of months since last year.
Well, thank you for sharing. Maybe I'm just done with listening to anime songs

I always find music on You Tube posted by people from other countries. It is so cool how music can unify and others have the same musical tastes as I do. Music really can be a universal unifier!
