Enjoyed Listening to a Neighbor's Guest Singer

Last night a neighbor had a party and he had a band with a female singer to entertain the guests. The party lasted up to 11 p.m. and though it was past the allowed time to have a loud videoke in the neighborhood, I still enjoyed listening because the female solo singer was so good. She sang modern songs and old songs as well. I told my husband that it does not matter to me if there's a loud videoke playing as long as the singer is like that. If those who sang had nasty, out-of-tune singers, it will really ruin me! Do you also love listening to live musical performances?

I sometimes wonder if our neighbour sits at home but still enjoys the songs from our concerts. I'm sure the sound would travel that far.

@acelawrites The nearest neighours are several hundred yards away so i don't think the noise would worry them too much.

If nobody complains, maybe they are enjoying the music in your concerts.

That's nice, good thing it's not not loud, out of tune, drunken singing.

@acelawrites i meant good thing they are not the type who would hire a videoke machine, drink and sing as if they have no neighbors. Yes band, they are professional singers and lots of Pinoys are good singers.

No, they're not drunk; it is a live band that the house owner hired to sing for their guests.

Yes I like, but I am happier when people respect the silence hours.

It happened during the fiesta here; it's tolerable because it happens once in a blue moon.

@acelawrites During winter with the windows closed we cannot even here sounds coming inside, but in summer I am happy that all people respect the rules.

I'm glad it was enjoyable! I kind of like bad karaoke singers, because they are entertaining in their own way. I wouldn't want a whole night of it, though!

They are allowed up to 10 p.m. only; or else they should lower the volume so neighbors could not hear it.

Yes, but only if I enjoy that kind of music.

it would make you sing along the songs you know and get LLS (last song syndrome) but go to bed happy!

Yes, a nice entertainment and we can sing along with them if they sing familiar songs.
