Ready To Write - Empty Brain

Everything is ready for me to start working, so why don't I have a thought in my head? The laptop is open and on, my required cup of coffee is sitting there piping hot, and the paper, pencils, and pens are all arranged neatly in case I want to make notes. So where is my brain?
Why have I have nothing going on in my head. I want to write, I need to write, but I have nothing to write. Not even a clue of what I want to write.
I think maybe I need to back away and read or something. I guess I will stop, back away from my desk and give up for now.
Tonight we will be having leftovers. I made a large pork roast with vegetables yesterday and am looking forward to heating up a plateful of it tonight. Yum.
I think I will catch up on notifications and see if that action jogs my brain.

Stepping away will probably jar your brain and creative thoughts will flow

Good Luck. Maybe some calming instrumental type music?

@HazySue Really it's about whatever works best for you. I'm glad the cross stitch did the trick.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It did, I don't know why it relaxes me so much but it does.

I did some research yesterday and did not write, this morning I wrote a weekly blog so I have not written anything but headers for what I want to write about.
Now I am tired and need a nap.
