How many of you My Lot simply because you don't have anything else to do?

Is it for your time pass or do you find it beneficial? I generally log in because I genuinely like being here but there are times when there is nothing to do and this seems to be a nice place to be in. You get to interact with so many people around the world. You are free to express any thing you want and know that no one would judge you and even if they do, it doesn't matter as you won't meet most of them.. In Face book, I feel you are restricted as you have people whom you know very well and they are judging you by your posts. Kindly, share your views

I'm retired and see myLot as a nice pastime. Besides, it helps me keep my English fresh so-to-speak. I was a teacher of English but have nobody now with whom I could or rather want to talk English. Our next door neighbour is an American but, sadly, he is an idiot (in my opinion) so that talking to him is no option. I'm only on facebook to stalk people I know, heehee. We had foreign language assistants at our school from England, Italy and Russia and occasionally I check if they have posted any news. That's all.

Great to know that you were an English Language teacher. I have to check my sentences/words 100 times before responding to your discussions. I like to write but after completing my studies, I don't have any one to read my short stories. So, I lost the enthusiasm to write but I am loving it here..

@Sheali This is certainly a good outlet if you want to practise your English. I also check my posts several times because I'm not so good at typing and make a lot of typos. It's not that I don't know how to write the words, but my fingers often don't obey. :-(

It is a pastime for me, not that I have anything else to do, but I like to relax during the day and I enjoy the interaction with other members here.

in mylot i can learn english,because i am chinese,no one speak english in life,my wife is sick,last year i and my wife to us for treatment,it's a terrible trip,so i dicide learing english for next time treatment

Hi.. Sorry to know about your wife. Hope she gets well soon. Yaa, you can improve your English by reading some of the good posts here. Actually, you may even start watching you tube videos.. If you hear people speaking, it will help you to understand even faster as it will improve your listening skills as well.. This is just a suggestion... I hope you don't mind..

I see myLot as a pastime since we can't earn much here on myLot so I just visit myLot when I feel bored and nothing to do, and I found it really time-consuming since you're not going to notice the time since you're busy reading other's discussions

I love to look into what others are talking about. Mylot is also a place to read updates on news, weather and events around the globe. It is also fun to read everyday activities and feelings of fellow myLotters. It is fun and I earn a few pennies which is nice too.

At first it was just to earn but after a few days I found myself going to myLot just because of the notifications & interactions w/c is really fun. & I also got to learn new things like that church in Indonesia that has a chicken head for a tower & just recently, snow apples w/c I have never heard of.
