Living with mental health

Isn't it funny how someone can look at you and think your fine but deep down you are a quivering wreck wishing life was over and do you really have to leave your home today. But each day you wake up and paint a smile on your face. how do you live with mental health

Its hard. I have PTSD and severe anxiety/depression. Most people just dont understand. But for me, just like you, most people dont know. I keep it hidden. And when i talk to people i think to myself "if they only knew" My brother had schizophrenia and he hanged himself 3 years ago. Mental health is a serious issue and i wish more people would pay attention...

You know what pisses me off though people reckon it isn't an illness just because we don't show it physically don't mean we don't suffer. My husband uncle has schizophrenia and is going through a point at the minute where he has no name he says it is illegal to be called anything his mother is in her 90s and struggling to cope with him but believe it or not he is down as her main carer x

It can be really hard sometimes to put on that happy face. I get exactly what your talking about. After my mother passed away, I didn't want to go out in public because I knew I couldn't pretend like everything was okay. I knew people would be able to tell that I was so freaking sad. But one day, I learned how to live with the loss, and I was able to put on my happy face again, and eventually I was actually happy again.

I know what you're talking about. It's very hard to be smiling while your soul suffers.

Well, I would not call it a mental health, but depression. I have felt depressed before and it is the most horrible state of mind ever. It kills you without even telling you, while making you feel like you're garbage. When feeling this way It is helpful to be surrounded by loved ones. If anybody is facing depression or mental health, they need to look for psychological help.

It is mental health though and there is help out there people just need to understand that not everyone has a happy smiley day and that they need help x

People used to give impressions based on what they just see outside. But how would we know if someone is suffering inside when they don't let us know? But I do hope that those people will be healed and live a happy life. Depressions and anxiety need serious attention. Involve your family and friends if you've been experiencing this. You are not alone and be not feeling alone.

But people stay quiet and don't speak up about it because others laugh and tell them to stop be stupid this is how it all started with the stigma off mental health x

I keep to myself and stay home because of my anxiety. I stopped trying to explain to people because no one understands.
