My fiber optic internet connection is bundled with a landline that is seldom or never used

@hereandthere i have not yet experienced trouble with my fiber but I think it would be less or not affected by phone trouble unlike dial up and dsl. Of course PLDT is a lined connection so if it's the line that's affected, everything is down but a lined connection is more stable than those that offer wireless.

what i don't like about it, though, is how everything is affected when there's a problem - phone, cable and internet.

Yes, I still have a home phone (landline) and, in fact, I have two (one of which came along with internet connection). Both lines are now over 20 years with us and I still find them useful in addition to the mobile phones that we have.

We still have a landline phone. My mom insists on having that. I don't know why?

We do have a landline, but we really don't use it. Honestly, not too sure why it's still there. Something to maybe think of changing.

Nope. No home phone here. Just cell phones. Not sure if landlines are even relevant anymore but SOMEONE out there must still use them.
