A New Model- Meet Felicia

United States
February 3, 2019 4:57am CST
I ordered a mannequin of the internet to help me model the sweaters i'm crocheting. I named her Felicia so when i leave the room, i say good-bye. (there's a joke about that, if you don't get it you can google Bye Felicia) Anyway, i am very pleased with it. I assembled it in only a couple of minutes. My dogs where unsure of this new stranger and barked at it for a few days. Here she's wearing the latest sweater i'm working on.

@Debscrochet Did the dogs get used to her. That is a great idea to use the mannequin.

@Debscrochet So what do the dogs do now when they see her and you are welcome?

Congratulations! The sweater looks perfect. I'm not so sure if I would be happy with the wide ends of the sleeves, though. I'd always have to watch out that they don't touch food standing on the table or hang into a cup of tea. The stains would never disappear. If I rolled them up, would they stay that way or unroll again?

Thanks. Actually it's a size 2-3x and my model is quite skinny so it's not as big as it looks. I had to make the sleeves longer for this custom order, Still have a little work to go yet. I have to add the trim, collar and pockets and possibly buttons if she wants them.

@Janet357 Yes i bought it on line. It's hollow so not very heavy, but sturdy enough.

She's a very nice looking lady - but what is she saying in the photo? Is she miming driving a car, perhaps (as in "I wanna borrow your car!")? She has enough movable joints of her own, I guess, so it can't be that! For those who haven't got the joke yet, see this clip :
