In India elections make and unmake the politicians. So it is they who are very keen on elections, so if they get elected, they can capture the power and earn money. All said and done, India is one of the biggest democratically ruled countries in the world and we like that way.

To me an Election means Freedom. Being able to get a chance to vote for an Elected official gives me a right to be able to pick someone who I feel will be the Best for the position they are wanting to do. Then I know if that person makes it into Office, and turns out to not be the best, at least I got my chance to decide. And if you do not Vote, in my personal opinion you have no right to make a Big issue of things going on around you, as the Votes are what makes the difference in all things.

Elections basically mean I have a choice in my leadership. The government works for the people, not the other way around.

elections mean high level politics and lots of planning and rivalry and confusion and corruption and feuds and vengeance and cold bloodedness
