A treat from Australia!

@JudyEv I thought of you – before Christmas some friends had to go to Australia at short notice due to a family death and we took care of their dog and chickens. When they got back they brought us various treats including this bag of chocolate wombat poo, which is a realistic shape and colour it says on the bag. Funnily enough we had been talking about wombats not long before and how they are the only animals that produce cubic poo. Not sure how they do that – do they have rectangular intestines? Either way, the chocolates are very nice! All rights reserved. © Text and image copyright Fleur 2019.

I do not believe they have rectangular intestines, but I remember I saw a documentary and they have cubed poo.

Here's a real wombat - I think you'll like it!
What actually is a Wombat? To be honest I don't know. But they are cute! The only thing a Wombat does is eating, sleeping and to make new Wombats! Sounds lik...

That's a pretty funny gift and glad you enjoyed the chocolates. However you gave us all the desire to research how wombats have rectangular intestines.

I know! It's surprising what you can read about on here. And it has actually been studied:

I was reading along and thinking I'd comment that wombats have cubed poo but you already knew that.

Yes I did, but not sure how. It's one of those obscure facts I seem to pick up. Must enter a pub quiz sometime! By the way, one of my favourite jokes: What do you do with a wombat?
