When I look at Trump, the damage he's doing, and the ridiculous morons who still, after all we've seen, still support him. I can't can't help but wonder if this is the Zombie Apocalypse, the movie makers, and sociologists were modeling for us to prepare for. The zombies eating brains symbolizes the pure stupidity of the Trump supporters. The rise of fascism all over the world is the spread of this stupidity. I imagine a world not too far separate from Cambodia in the seventies and eighties, where the ignorant Zombie hordes roam the countryside looking for intelligent people to kill.

Describing Trump followers as mindless "Zombies" is too harsh. In this world of political correctness, we try to avoid offending people. But one must face up to the reality that political ignorance exist in the US population (just like in other countries)

You are a nice person I'm sure. I sort of understand your point. Pardon me, but it is my firm belief that political correctness is a huge part of what got us into this mess. One of the biggest problems the left is doing poorly at dealing with, is political correctness. Political Correctness BUILDS walls. It does not knock down walls. Many Trump followers, took to him because he is so irreverent. People need to be honest about what they say to each other. If they can't be honest, than much dialogue just stops. People don't know how to address issues, or ask questions without being ostracized for their language, makes them shut up. Having to shut up about your concerns breeds resentment. I believe there are talented people on the right who effectively use the left's political correctness against them. Look at the mess the folks in Virginia are dealing with since somebody brought up their progressive, and effective Governor posing in a picture in Blackface, or wearing a Klan suit or whatever in the eighties. What a mess. Granted, the Governor panicked and didn't handle the situation well. Who would? Nobody is perfect, especially the longer they've lived, the more their negative history can pile up. Most of the blacks in VA support their Governor. It's not my job to be offended for them. That's as disrespectful as wearing blackface. Al Franken should have never resigned from the Senate either. If you really think about it, political correctness is a form of intolerance, and yes, fascism.

@jprtist _I like Al Franken and believe he was set up by the conservative right. I read he is thinking about entering the political arena again. Bill Maher often express exasperation over Democrats needing to take the high road when Republicans go low. But the new crop of progressives in the Democratic party like AOC aren't shy about going head to head with conservative critics. Maybe it's time as Eric Holder once said, "If they go low, we kick them". I was also curious why you wrote that " political correctness is a form of intolerance and fascism. Then I remember George Carlin. I'm a fan. BTW, Because of political correctness, I chose the phrase, "political ignorance" instead of using the word "stupidity".
