About as interesting as watching paint dry

I just sat here and cleaned between and under my keyboard. I have no idea how all that YUCK got there. This is the first I have been here today, and I really have to go do something else online for a bit. We went to McPherson to do a few things this morning. Came back, ate leftovers for lunch, and Bob took his nap. He is up now. I got some chicken on sale. The cat will be happy, because I will share. About my keyboard, my air canister is empty, so I cannot blow it out. I do not eat at the keyboard or drink. I am too klutzy, I would ruin it for sure. I ran a thin, flexible plastic card around the keys, several times. I also used an alcohol swab. Oh, and I also turned the keyboard upside down and shook it. The keyboard still is not pretty, but it is better, less sticky. I need to go attempt some surveys on some sites, and write an article or two. I will be back to read and respond in a little bit. What seems to be coming out is cat dandruff and hair. Princess really does not lay on it, so I do not know what is up with that.

Maybe you could put a cloth over it when you're not using it.

I tried the air canisters but I didn't see much of a difference, but the keyboard can get pretty disgusting!!

I have used it before. I see more of a result when I blow out the blowers and fans on the tower. The keyboard it helps some, but the hair seems to tangle up under the keys.

Cat hair floats around very easily. Even if Princess doesn't lay on the keyboard, she does come up to you for pets and stuff, and some of that fur sticks to you until you sit at the keyboard and then promptly attacks it for her.

She does do that. She also likes to lay on the printer.

I donĀ“t allow the dog near here if I can help it as it can get to be pretty yucky. I just usually turn the keyboard upside down first and then gently shake it just a little bit.

I sometimes use a small vacuum cleaner. It is a battery operated.

I have even seen tiny attachments you can put on your big vacuum and that would be handy.

@Shavkat Could be. I would not want to suck the keys off.

@GardenGerty I had seen that one, too. But I think it is too strong to use on a computer's keyboard.

It is amazing how much dust and dirt that keyboards collect.

I remember our desktop keyboard always being filthy from the 10+ people whod use it when they came over. Ugh. Least its better than cleaning toilets. Lol

My first husband got us a custom made cover of plastic for our very first computer. Ages ago. I do not know if you can get them anymore. You could type on them just fine.

I use the compressed air in a can around my keyboard. My cats will lay between me and my keyboard, so I have lots of surprises on mine!
