Suddenly It's Too Quiet

Our granddaughter arrived Thursday night and went home last night at about 7:30! We all went to bed relatively early because she was exhausting... in a good way lol. This morning we were all up at the normal time but we missed all of the noise. She loves to talk lol... a quality I know that she inherited from my sister!! She drove my dad crazy!! And if she is not talking... she's laughing. She loves to tell jokes and laughs harder at them than we do lol! And then she hums... With her in the house... there's happy sounds all day long! But now the house is silent!! I know that we were exhausted after just a couple of days, but I'm pretty sure that if she called and asked if she could come for a couple more days... none of us could say no ;)

i am sure she could stay as long as she wants if you had the choice. it's so nice to have a happy child around to cheer you up. that says a lot about how close and loving your family must be

The house always feels sad when the grandkids leave, not just you. I'm sure you would say yes to having her back if she called.

She sounds like a very happy and content little girl. How old is she?

She sounds such a happy soul. No wonder you miss the noise and chatter - not to mention the humming.

I love the quiet but having little one around changes that.

The humming to herself when she was concentrating was sooooo sweet.
