So, you have exhausted the cupboards at home, and just can't find the heart shape pan you were looking for..no need to fear, check the local library! I found this very surprising when I heard this on TV the other day, and I am sure not all libraries are stocking pans, but more than one is. Check out the offerings from the Topeka regional libraries... I will take a cake pan and the latest James Patterson please.! https://tscpl.org/home/cake-pan-library

Have fun baking for special (or everyday!) occasions by borrowing a cake pan from the Cake Pan Library in the Cooking Neighborhood!

It is..I doubt our local library is doing it, but they might at some point. They are pretty progressive for a small town library really.

Power tools? I would think that would be a liability!

I think they are found in the cooking section. I might go there Monday, if they have the book in I am looking for that it.

One of the libraries in our county has sewing machines available for check-out. I volunteer for the library and have been amazed at the items and services that are available free for the asking.

@snowy22315 Libraries are amazing despite the fact that many people seem to think that they are old-fashioned.

@SophiaMorros They seem to get plenty of action, at least the one around here does.

Yeah, better than running to Walmart, for something you are going to use once or twice!

They don't sell anything at the libraries here unless they are having a book sale. They are to be borrowed.

@snowy22315 I understood that you wrote about the containers in the library. I misunderstood.

It really is..I would be pretty surprised if our local library had that..but I might mention to see if they even heard of it happening.

Someone mentioned here today that libraries are now allowing food and drinks, and now I read this.. so weird, and different.. though this one actually makes more sense to me,
